The Milliken Fire Protection District is a special fire district that serves the Town of Milliken and properties adjacent to in unincorporated Weld County to the Southwest of Evans and Greeley. The District is approximately 38 square miles with an estimated population of 8,000 to 9,000 residents.
The district currently operates with 3 Shifts that rotate on a 48-96 hour work schedule. The district is staffed by eleven career members and approximately 40 volunteers that respond to all fire and medical alarms 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The Milliken Fire Protection District also operates an ALS ambulance staffed by University of Colorado Health Paramedics. The career staff is complimented by our volunteers who work 12-24 hour shifts at the fire station. Milliken Fire Protection District currently operates out of two fire stations that in responded to approximately 700-800 alarms per year. Station 1 is located at 101 South Irene Avenue in the Town of Milliken. Milliken Station 2 is located at 4225 Yosemite Drive in the "Hill N Park" subdivision, and serves Dos Rios, Arrowhead, and Indian Hills subdivisions.
The Milliken Fire Protection District is always looking for a few good men and women interested in joining the volunteer ranks of our department. The Milliken Fire Protection District accepts applications year round and conducts one hiring process a year. Applications and additional
